Savannah Rose Jar
A glass jar filled with roses has a simple, unaffected beauty. For the Savannah Rose Jar the florist cuts the roses to length and arranges them in the jar, so the gift arrives finished and can stand on a kitchen table, a dresser or a desk without further attention. It is a charming thing to send for a name day in Hungary, particularly to an older relative who may not want to handle a large bouquet. People ordering from another country often worry about vases and scissors at the other end, and here neither is needed. Florists in Győr, Nyíregyháza and elsewhere in Hungary prepare the jar and deliver it personally.
